It has begun, and ended

I've done it, made the move back to swindon, only leaving my parcel shelf behind WHOOPSIES, feeling postive about everything, lots of changes for so many people at the moment, very exciting!

so we've made a start on the studio. it has been ordered and deposit paid today we chopped down a tree to make room for a nicer tree that is in the way of where the studio is going to be.. i think that makes sense.

anyway all very fun and loud today, kiln is in... that was a bit mad,i made may cakes to feed all the helpers. just got to get it all hooked up and working now.

more soon +pictures. long time since last post, busy busy. :)

Decals, sneak peek

I guess you can trest this as a sneak peek of some work that will at new designers in june

(I'll be in week one, open 29th june -2nd july) Business Design Centre near angel tube in Islington.

It's not long now and YES the stress is getting to me, not eating enough, drinking too much, finsing it increasingly hard to drag myself from under the duvet to start my day.

but this evening consists of a relaxing time spent on photoshop, the decals are more like my contemporary canopics again (see above), Im excited about the new work I'm just really hoping i manage to pull it off y'know, if it goes tits up now im a bit buggered. ahhh the life of a recent graduate, no-idea-whats-going-on-half-the-time

here are couple of pics though One of the main Images for the judas vessel.

Brit award/gaga/egyptian trophy cabinet

Victor Holst

At work today an artist was dropping off some pieces, and has invited me over to his studio, He's a lovely old man, but tells me, he won't give me the secret recipe of his prized blue glaze.

sorrrryyy! itsbeen ages, summing up news of past months

So Hi!

Not done a proper post for a long long time and i do really enjoy blogging, but when you let one big thing slip its hard to grasp the flow back.
So i'm in Devon, in Budleigh salterton, it's lovely down here, lots of sweet old folk. been here for about seven months, managed to get some good work made in the mishmash of the studio, and done some more great shows, like get-fresh (devon guild), Craftpoint, MMXAS(begrave stives and Rising Stars (Dartmouth) to name but a few, everything is going well, bit sad ive eft it this late to post, i no dont want to bore anyone with the little details now!

Very excited about summer, and of course 'one year on' at new designers, i just put the kiln on this morning again, i think im on shedule to finish, i really hope everything goes smoothly when im in london, as you can imagine its very hard to get ceramics from one place to another there.
Also good news ive been offered an interview for hothouse north! the craftscouncil program for emerging makers, which if i get on will be fantastic becuase it'll open my eyes to the north of england and beyond.

On a personal note, there have been many ups and downs last few months, but kips finally ended it, bit sad, but chin up, and atleast i've got PLENTY to keep me busy for the next month or two.

more soon! + photos!!
